The Goal
The Winter Creek crew reckon there is a good chance the railway will be

Latest (Apr 14th) - We are working on bridge no 6 - a monster at
22m long and 6m above the creek. Getting the 1/4 ton steel beams into position took
a lot of planning.

Heres a map (not to scale) showing the revised bottom loop. A run on the mainline
will be about 1km (0.6 mile).
This is a privately owned dual gauge railway with 7.25" and
5" gauge trackage. We like to think of it as a 2.5" scale dual gauge layout, although
any compatible equipment is welcome to visit. The Winter Creek is situated in New
Zealand on Aucklands' North Shore, (See Contact Us
for a world map).
We operate an informal club that meets every Wednesday night to work on the
railway and/or members projects - we can all learn something this way - as well
as have a cuppa and a chat.
Saturdays usually find something happening in the shed or out on the line.
